Westminster Bridge - Parliament - Westminster Abbey - Whitehall - Trafalgar Square - Embankment - The Thames - Temple - Temple Church

London’s history is plentiful, in a matter of steps you can journey from the location of a potential temple honouring the Egyptian Goddess Isis, to the home of the mythical Knights Templar Church.

Whether you are a local or visiting London for the first time, this tour will offer you a unique insight into London's past, as well as its present and future.

Starting point:

Our tour starts by Westminster Underground Station: As you step out of the station, imposing Big Ben stands right in front of you but did you know this is also the site of one of London's earliest settlements; ancient prehistory stories and ley lines hidden beneath it.  

From here, your guide and author Gemma Petherbridge will take you on a  2-2.5 hour walking tour of some of Central London’s most iconic sites. 

Together we will travel through history, learning about the icons and villains of London’s ancient past. You will learn about the secret sign that marks a dark moment in time, hear about the myths of Trafalgar Square, the Ghosts of Whitehall and a once lawless area of London. 

You will walk some of the multiple ley lines that cross through the city and understand why they are there. And hear about the Gods and Goddesses who were worshipped here including Isis and Father Thames, the spirit of the Thames River itself. 

Together there will be approximately 15 stops, many with areas you can sit and rest while Gemma shares new information. The tour ends outside Temple Church giving you a chance to explore this area further.

Where Does the Tour Start:

Please meet Gemma under the Boadicea and Her Daughters Monument. This is between Westminster Underground Station and Westminster Bridge..  

Please note:

• We always leave on time so please arrive at least 10-15 minutes early. 
• No Pets (other than service dogs).
• Not suitable for Wheelchair users or prams.
• Suitable for 15 years old +.

Where Does the Tour End?

We will finish at Temple Church.

How long is the Tour?

The tour is 2-2.5 hours in length. Along the route there will be areas to sit while Gemma talks but please make sure you have gone to the toilet and have everything you need with you as we cannot make extra stops.

Accessibility? 

This is a walking tour, often on flat land but in some areas accessibility will be uneven and will include steps. Therefore you need to be able to walk for at least an hour with ease.

What do I need to bring with me?

The tour will go ahead in all weathers, therefore please make sure you arrive in comfortable shoes, with a bottle of water and clothes that match the weather.
