This is a Witches Learning Circle event guiding you through the process of creating a personal spiritual sanctuary as you learn the significance of various altar elements and how to arrange them to enhance your magickal practice and personal rituals. We will also create an altar together and cast a spell for reclamation of personal power.

In witchcraft and other magickal practices, an altar serves as a sacred space for rituals, spellwork, and honouring deities or spiritual entities. It is a focal point for intention-setting, meditation, spellwork, and connecting with the energies of the natural world. Through the arrangement of items like candles, herbs, and crystals, an altar acts as a representation of a witch's spiritual path and/or tradition, focusing energy for worship, manifestation, and reverence for the Divine.

You will learn about different types of altars and their purpose, the significance of various altar elements, and how to arrange them to enhance your spiritual practice and personal rituals. We will create an altar together as a circle. We will also use the amplified energy of the altar to cast a spell for reclamation of wholeness, power and magick. The spell is a powerful intention and agreement you will make with yourself and Spirit/God/the Universe (whatever your personal beliefs are) to honour yourself by liberating the Divine Self.

People from all walks of life, beliefs and backgrounds are welcome to unite in this space to share and learn together.

Please note:

• You must bring an item that holds personal or spiritual significance as well as a photo of you as a child/adolescent (to be used for setting the altar and for the spell, which will then be returned to you at the end)
• You may wish to bring a journal and pen.
